NBH Studio “Paint a Chair” Recap – Cubism Vibes Only!

What an energetic and creative afternoon we had at Neighbourhood Studio for our “Paint a Chair” workshop!
Kids dove headfirst into the world of Cubism, the revolutionary art movement pioneered by Pablo Picasso and modern artist Romero Britto. They learned how Cubist artists broke down everyday objects into geometric shapes, showed multiple perspectives at once, and played with bold, vibrant colors instead of realistic representation.

What a wonderful afternoon at our Open Studio World Book Day session!
We welcomed 14 children for an hour of playful storytelling and creativity.
We started with a warm-up game “Humpty Dumpty Story Bubble” — tossing Humpty Dumpty around while building a story together. A fun way to wake up our creative muscles and get everyone ready to imagine!
Then we split into small groups to rebuild the classic story Little Red Riding Hood.
